What this site is

UKSolars publishes general information about solar photovoltaic systems, UK funding schemes and export tariffs, and introduces homeowners to installers. It is not financial advice, not legal advice, and not a substitute for a site survey by a qualified installer.

Accuracy

We work hard to be right and we show our sources so you can check. Scheme rules, eligibility thresholds, export rates and installed prices change without notice, and the figures here are national ranges rather than a quote for your property. Confirm anything you intend to rely on against the source before you sign or pay.

Introductions

Where we introduce you to an installer, your contract is with that installer and not with us. We do not carry out the work, we do not warrant it, and we are not party to the agreement. We select installers on MCS certification and consumer-code registration rather than on what they pay, but their conduct is theirs.

Finance

We do not introduce anyone to a lender or a credit broker, and we receive no commission from any finance arrangement. Any finance you are offered comes from the installer under their own permissions, and any questions about it are for them and their regulator.

Reusing our data

The datasets published under /data/ are free to reuse with attribution under a Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence: credit UKSolars and link to the dataset page. The rest of the site's text is our copyright — quote it with attribution, do not republish it wholesale.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for anything it would be unlawful to exclude. Beyond that, we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of general information published here, and we ask you to check anything consequential against its source — which is why every source is linked.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
